Golf Instruction with The Club at Indian Springs

Michael Boyd - Director of Instruction
www.michaelboydgolf.com
Michael comes to teaching as a former competitive player.  His career included state and national championships at the junior, collegiate, amateur, and professional levels.  He is a former #1 ranked amateur in the country and member of both the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour.  Along the way he studied under some of the best teachers in the country, as well as become a Certified Performance Intelligence Coach through Mind of a Champion.

Michael’s students include professional golfers as well as high handicap players.  His students have won state and national competitions, shot course records, and lowered their handicap.  He teaches his students to understand their ball flight, practice effectively and coach themselves around the course.

Recently he has taken his teaching to the next level by using a Trackman, the leading teaching and club fitting device on the PGA Tour.  Michael is the only teacher in the area using a Trackman, and thus Indian Springs is the only club in the area to have it available to its members.

Single lessons last an hour and can take place on any part of the practice area, swing, short game, wedges, etc...  Trackman and Video analysis is used.  Practice plans and drills are given for “homework” to help the student progress.

New Instructor Richie Coughlan

I am excited to begin a partnership with Richie Coughlan. Sometimes opportunities are too good to pass up. When any endeavor is seeking to grow and improve its important to get the right people on the bus. Richie is that kind of "right people." A highly decorate player at Clemson in the 90's he attained membership on the PGA and European Tour. After 3 successful season on the PGA Tour he was sidelined by injury and turned his attention to teaching. He went on to become a PGA Tour Academy Instructor and was the Director of Instruction at TPC San Antonio through August of 2016, being named the Tour Academy Instructor of the Year in 2015.

A great opportunity for his wife opened in Tulsa last year and Richie and his family (wife and new baby in tow) set down in T-Town. He spent the last several months caring for their newborn and is excited to start teaching again.

Richie will lead the charge in our Junior Golf Camps this summer as well as offering his own one on one teaching throughout the year. He and Michael will team up to offer some adult clinics later this spring, and continue changing the world one golfer at a time.

If you would like to welcome Richie or set up a lesson you can contact him at rcoughlan14@gmail.com or call (518)986-1445.
